Ureteroscopic Holmium laser lithotripsy postoperative precautions

  A. After the postoperative anal ventilation, you can generally eat and drink from less to more from thin to dry, and remove the catheter in 1~2 days. When you urinate on your own for the first time after the catheter is removed, please collect the urine into a disposable bowl and wash it to the last sediment, and you can usually find small stones that have been broken off, so you can inform the doctor, and then send it to the urology clinic for stone laboratory analysis after the doctor has issued a test order. The doctor will then send the stone to the urology clinic for laboratory analysis, which can guide future diet and prevention. A soft stent tube (also called double J tube) is usually left in the ureter after surgery to drain the fluid on the one hand and reduce ureteral stenosis after surgery on the other hand, which generally has no significant effect on the body and can be tolerated by the majority of patients, but a small number of patients may have the following discomfort during the period of the stent tube: Wang Yuemin, Department of Urology, Shanghai Oriental Hospital 1. The end of the stent tube is close to the bladder neck and urethra, which may cause different degrees of urinary frequency, urinary urgency or urinary pain. 2. The stent tube rubs against the ureter and bladder, which may cause mild hematuria with a light red urine color similar to watermelon juice or meat washing water. Generally, it can be relieved by the following: take more rest and drink more water, avoid strenuous exercise, especially bending, weight-bearing and walking for a long time, reduce the amount of activity, and walk and do things as slowly as possible. 3, urine reflux into the kidneys during urination in the bladder, which may cause different degrees of back pain. It is suggested that you can reduce or alleviate the back pain during urination by increasing the number of urination and minimizing abdominal force during urination. 4.During the period of stent tube storage, if there is no bleeding and no pain, it is not necessary to take oral anti-inflammatory drugs and drink more water. Some patients with fever and hematuria can take oral anti-inflammatory drugs for 3-5 days, but if the symptoms gradually worsen or the body temperature is higher than 38.5℃, etc., then promptly follow up. Third, our Western Hospital carries out painless cystoscopy treatment all year round. Patients with stent tubes left in the ureter can usually be readmitted for painless cystoscopic removal about a month after the procedure. If there is more bleeding and painful irritation, it can be removed earlier, or if it is well tolerated and delayed for a few days, it is not a big problem. I hope not to forget. Fourth, after the stone is embedded with ureter for a long time, it is easy to cause ureteral mucosal damage, fibrosis, stenosis, polyp growth or even cause cancer, so in one month after the removal of stent tube, we suggest you to go to urology clinic for ultrasound etc. to review the recovery of hydronephrosis and the presence of ureteral stenosis. Recurrence is a common problem after treatment for any type of urinary tract stones. It is recommended that you usually review the renal ureteral ultrasound every 3-6 months at the outpatient clinic.
