The Treatise on Typhoid says: “Those whose pulse is floating and sweating like a flowing pearl are also suffering from Wei Qi failure.” Those who sweat like running pearls belong to hyperhidrosis in TCM. Contemporary Chinese medicine classifies hyperhidrosis into spontaneous sweating and night sweating. In the Treatise on Typhoid, there is no strict distinction between spontaneous sweating and night sweating, and the same Gui Zhi plus Dragon Bone and Oyster Soup is used by many scholars of classic prescriptions to treat both spontaneous sweating and night sweating, with good results. The reason for this is that both spontaneous sweating and night sweating have both internal and external causes: external causes such as wind, summer, humidity and heat, and internal causes such as the deficiency of yin and yang in the five viscera – the causes and symptoms are largely the same, so the treatments can be used interchangeably. ”The pulse is floating and sweating like a flowing pearl, due to “Wei Qi failure”, for this article, Zhong Jing did not provide a prescription, the author believes that the use of Gui Zhi Tang to reconcile the Ying and Wei treatment. Another example is the “Treatise on Typhoid”, Article 394: “After the poor typhoid, more fever, Xiao Chai Hu Tang is the main; pulse floating, to sweat to solve the; pulse sinking real, the following solution.” Although this article is about the use of Xiao Chai Hu Tang, but the text of the “pulse floating, relieved by sweat” is also suitable for Gui Zhi Tang to harmonize the Ying and Wei, and to treat “Wei Qi failure”. From the above, we can determine the treatment and prescription of sweating from the pulse. I shall not be shallow, analysis is as follows. 1, the left inch alone weak, is the heart and blood deficiency, Yang Qi floating over, available to the spleen soup plus or minus (ginseng, earth fried atractylodes, Fu Shen, fried sour dates, longan meat, roasted astragalus, wine angelica, Yuan Zhi, Mu Xiang, roasted licorice, ginger, jujube). 2, the right inch pulse is weak and late, is the lung qi is empty, can not guard the outside, available qi with soup plus or minus (astragalus, cannon root, ginger, jujube). 3, the ulnar pulse is fine, this yin deficiency fire, available angelica six yellow soup plus or minus (angelica, fried raw earth yellow, cooked earth yellow, fried cypress, fried scutellaria, fried Huanglian, fried astragalus). 4.The Guan pulse is the so-called “Polyguan pulse” of Mr. Liu Shaowu, which can be reduced by adding and subtracting Tong Shen Tang (Sheng Shi Fa, Oyster, Gui Zhi, Da Huang, Che Qian Zi, Chai Hu, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae, Su Zi, Chuan Pepper, Licorice, Dazao). 5.The overall pulse is deficient and counted, which is Yin deficiency and Yang floating, and can be reduced by adding Oyster San (Calcined Oyster, Huang Qi, Ephedra Root, Ginseng, Mai Dong, Wu Wei Zi). 6, the overall pulse is thin and sluggish, this liver Yang deficiency, available Huangqi Jianzhong Tang plus or minus (astragalus, cinnamon branch, white peony, roasted licorice, ginger, red dates, syrup). 7, the overall pulse is thin and stringy, this blood deficiency produces wind, available Wu Wei Zi Tang plus or minus (Wu Wei Zi, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Dragon Bone, Oyster, He Shou Wu, Yuan Zhi, Wu Bei Zi, Earth Bone Bark). 8, the overall pulse is flooded, this internal heat is very, available Bai Hu Tang plus or minus (raw gypsum, Zhi Mu, round-grained rice, roasted licorice). 9, the overall pulse is floating and slow, this Ying and Wei are not in harmony, available Gui Zhi Tang plus or minus (Gui Zhi, Bai Shao, ginger, red dates, roasted licorice).
