The survival time of cancer patients with liver metastases is related to the primary lesion, the number and size of metastases, treatment and the general condition of the patient, with great individual variability. The presence of liver metastases in cancer patients generally indicates advanced cancer. If there are no distant metastases in other locations and the metastases are single and small, treatment of both the primary and metastatic lesions can be carried out. After radical treatment, patients can survive for a long time or even achieve long-term survival with tumor. In case of multiple liver metastases or multiple distant metastases and difficult management of the primary disease, patients have a shorter survival period. In addition, patients in good general condition will have a relatively long survival period. Although cancer patients with liver metastases are in advanced stage, there are more treatment methods, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, interventional therapy and immunotherapy. Patients should maintain a good attitude and increase their confidence in disease treatment.
