Can breast cancer metastasize in early stages?

Metastasis can occur in the early stages of breast cancer, especially in the lymph nodes. The most common locations of metastasis are axillary lymph nodes and supraclavicular lymph nodes. Distant metastases, such as lung metastases and bone metastases, are relatively rare. If breast cancer can be detected at an early stage and radical surgery can be followed by radiotherapy, chemotherapy or endocrine targeted therapy, these treatments can completely stop the early metastasis of breast cancer. Therefore, to improve the survival and prognosis of breast cancer in early stage, early detection, early diagnosis and timely radical surgery are the effective means to prevent early metastasis of breast cancer.
