Is it a bad thing for people to have a fever?

The human body temperature is basically constant and stays around 37 degrees. If your body temperature is outside the normal range, you have a “fever”. Some people think that a fever is a bad thing. This is because a fever can be very uncomfortable and is often accompanied by a rapid heartbeat and breathing, loss of appetite, and headache. According to medical experts, fever is not a bad thing. First of all, it is because fever is a sign of disease, which helps doctors to diagnose the disease. Now some parents, children slightly fever, indiscriminately use antipyretic drugs to reduce fever, so that the symptoms of the disease will be temporarily relieved, but often cover up the real condition, and as a result gaze missed the time of treatment. Secondly, fever is a physiological defense response of the body to the invasion of germs, which has a protective effect on the body. When the body temperature rises, the activity of various enzymes in the body is enhanced, the metabolism becomes vigorous, and the detoxification function of the liver is greatly enhanced. At the same time, the natural defense line in the body’s blood, one by one white blood cells, also increases in large numbers. They surround the germs and put them in a situation where they are fighting on all sides. After a duel, the white blood cells often “win” and the germs are “wiped out”. At this point, the body temperature returns to normal and the body is restored to health. Fever awakens the body’s immune system and makes the body resistant to certain diseases. Sometimes it is found that cancer patients who are infected with bacteria wait until the disease caused by the germs is cured and the cancer is in some kind of remission, as a result of the fever waking up the immune system. Of course, high fevers and prolonged fevers are still bad for the body. Because this interferes with the body’s physiological functions, it is necessary to perform heat remission.
