Within half a month after the surgery of spinal canal tumor, patients need to take the flat lying position; after half a month, they need to wear the support for bed exercise; after one month, they can wear the support for floor activity. Patients need to wear the support for daily life in 3 months; after 3 months, if the healing is good after CT, MRI and other examinations, the support can be removed and normal life can be resumed gradually.
After spinal tumor surgery, attention should be paid to axial turning to avoid excessive flexion, extension and rotation of the spine; regular wound care should be given to avoid infection; passive movement should be given during the period of braking to prevent muscle atrophy as well as deep vein thrombosis. Diet should be soft and easy to digest, rich in protein and vitamins to help wound recovery.
