When turning or changing position, protect the cast to avoid fracture and deformation. 7.If the cast is loosened due to swelling of the limb or muscle atrophy, go to the hospital in time to replace the cast. 8.Before the patient gets out of bed, help him/her to turn over and instruct him/her to do the muscle contraction activity inside the cast; when the situation allows, encourage to get out of bed. 9.The skin inside the cast may feel itchy after the cast is wrapped for a long time, do not scratch to avoid skin damage and infection. 10.Do not remove the cast for the sake of momentary comfort!
