What’s wrong with white gums?

The whitening of the gums is related to blood system diseases, oral diseases, and may also be caused by physiological factors.
1. Pathological factors
(1) Blood system diseases: anemia is a common cause of whitish gums, and patients may also experience symptoms such as fatigue and dizziness. Leukemia can appear gingival hyperplasia and enlargement, uneven color of gums, showing uneven and distribution of pale and purplish red phenomenon.
(2) Oral diseases: Oral mucous membrane leukoplakia can form uniform white patches on the gums. Oral lichen planus can appear in the gingiva line white, gray-white pattern.
2. Physiological factors: when a child is teething, some white color may appear on the gums.
