White gums are not necessarily a precursor of cancer, but are usually related to anemia, leukemia and other blood system diseases, oral mucosa white spots and other oral diseases.
1. Blood system diseases. Normal gums are pink or light pink, and the gums may look pale due to lack of blood, so when suffering from anemia, leukemia and other diseases, it can cause lack of blood in the body and whitening of the gums.
2. Oral diseases. Such as oral mucosa white spots, can lead to the formation of white patches on the gums; oral lichen planus can make the gums appear linear white, grayish-white pattern, resulting in whitening of the gums.
Tumors can also cause the body to become anemic, leading to whitish gums, but whitish gums do not necessarily belong to precancerous lesions.
