Breast fibroids are benign tumors consisting of a mixture of both glandular epithelium and fibrous tissue. They are commonly found in young women and are associated with an imbalance of sex hormone levels in the patient’s body. Fibroid tumors are relatively common benign tumors in clinical practice. Asymptomatic patients can be followed up regularly and have a good prognosis after surgical excision with a low recurrence rate. Fibroid tumors that turn into fibrosarcoma or breast cancer are extremely rare, less than 1%. Breast fibroids are usually diagnosed clinically through pathological puncture. If a patient is diagnosed with breast fibroids and other examination indicators are normal, pregnancy is usually possible. During pregnancy, the tumor may grow larger with time, but it will not become malignant and will not cause other adverse effects on women during pregnancy. Therefore, female patients with mammary fibroids can get pregnant under the guidance of doctors. The clinical procedure for breast fibroid includes two types: the first is open surgery, in which a 2.5-4 cm surgical incision is made at the affected area and the tumor material is removed through the incision; the cost is about RMB 1000-1500; the second is minimally invasive surgery, i.e. breast McMurdo minimally invasive rotational excision. The tumor material will be removed under the guidance of B-ultrasound; the cost is about 5000-6000 RMB.
