The most common symptoms of infusion reactions are rash and dyspnea. When an infusion reaction occurs, be sure to stop the infusion immediately and have the healthcare provider change the medication causing the infusion reaction. If the condition is critical, dexamethasone injection can be given to reduce the allergic reaction. If acute laryngeal edema occurs, causing respiratory distress, intubation for ventilator-assisted breathing or even tracheotomy may be required. In addition, it needs to be reported to the hospital authorities and aseptic operation should be strictly followed during the infusion operation.
