The causes of spider nevus may be related to physiologic factors, cirrhosis of the liver, taking birth control pills, etc. According to different causes, observation and follow-up, oral entecavir and other medications can be taken.
1. Physiological factors: 10%~15% of healthy adults and children have spider nevi, usually only one, occasionally there are several, usually no special treatment, only observation and follow-up.
2. Cirrhosis: Cirrhosis of the liver leads to decompensation of liver function, resulting in the decrease of estrogen inactivation and the increase of estrogen leading to the occurrence of spider nevus. Cirrhosis should be treated actively, such as hepatitis B virus infection, use of antiviral drugs such as entecavir; at the same time, use of reduced glutathione, polyunsaturated phosphatidylcholine and other drugs to protect the liver and reduce enzymes.
3. Taking contraceptive pills: the composition of contraceptive pills contains estrogen, after taking the pills, the estrogen in the body rises and leads to the occurrence of spider nevus, you can follow the doctor’s instruction to adjust the dosage of the drug or stop using the drug, and change the other ways of contraception, such as condoms and so on.
Spider nevus patients should go to the hospital in time to improve the examination, for disease-induced spider nevus should be actively treated after clarifying the cause of the disease. The use of medication should follow the doctor’s instructions.
