Recurrence of nephrotic syndrome is not scary

Many parents are afraid of their children’s nephrotic syndrome recurrence and worry about it all day long. After communicating with parents, we found that many parents actually lack knowledge in this area and are a kind of blind worry, so it is necessary to talk to you about the problem of recurrence. Can relapse be reduced? The so-called relapse refers to the original urine protein negative, but for 3 consecutive days urine protein 3 + or more, or urine protein quantitative more than 50mg/kg.d. As you can see, there is a standard problem, that is, the urine protein needs to be more than 3 +, and is required for more than 3 consecutive days, many parents found that the child once in a while urine protein + or 2 +, in fact, is not considered a relapse, temporary do not need to change Most children can regain remission after rest, and only a small number of them become true relapses and need to adjust their treatment plan. What are the causes of relapse? Statistics show that more than 70% of nephrotic syndrome will relapse, and about 30% of them are frequent relapses, that is, 2 relapses in 6 months and more than 3 relapses in a year. The causes of recurrence are 70% unclear, and the remaining 30% can be identified, which are related to infection, allergy, vaccination, irregular hormone intake, fatigue, and mental stress. The vast majority of these identifiable factors are infection-related recurrences, such as those caused by colds and diarrhea, but recurrences caused by fatigue, mental stress and uncontrollable diet are becoming more and more common. Clinically, I often find that some children have recurrences after midterm exams, after spring trips, after playing basketball, or after continuously eating old hen. What is the danger of relapse? The harm is mainly the effect of urine protein on the renal tubules, but the self-repair ability of the renal tubules is strong, and the short-term large amount of urine protein does not affect the form and function of the renal tubules in the future, so the short-term relapse has no effect on the child. We often see that many children are cured after many relapses, and there is no effect on kidney function after cured. Although there is no long-term harm, relapse will consume the family’s financial resources and affect the parents’ work, so clinical measures are needed to avoid unnecessary relapse. These measures include: 1, try to identify the causes of recurrence, you can take targeted measures. 2, targeted measures: prevention of infection, many hospitals with levamisole, pidemod, Fucotol, Sichikang, Yu Ping Feng San, Tong Kang tablets belong to this type of treatment; avoid the intake of allergens and contact, if necessary, to check the allergens; avoid mental tension and strain; avoid a large number of long-term intake of inappropriate food, such as seafood, goose, etc..
