The stent is not placed in the heart, but in the coronary artery on the surface of the heart where stenosis occurs, to restore the patency of the coronary artery. 2. Is this technology outdated? Maybe there is a better way in 20 years, but stenting is the most effective way to relieve acute severe heart ischemia at present. 1 million operations were done in the United States last year, while only 500,000 were done in our country with such a large population, and the reasons for this are very complicated. 3.What kind of people should be put? Patients with acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina should be put and done early. Stable type can be treated with intensive drug therapy first. 4.How long is the life span of stents? The current stents are mostly made of stainless steel or alloy, so there is no problem of life span. The patient may refer to the stent is still not suitable for the stent, but it is less than 5%. 5.Do I need to take medicine for nutritional stent after stent placement? The stent is metal and there is no question of needing nutrition. Because there is a problem of less than 1% thrombosis within 1 year after stent release, it is necessary to combine clopidogrel or tigretol for at least 1 year except for aspirin within 1 year. In fact, even without stent acute or unstable myocardial ischemia also need to be combined for at least 1 year. 6.Is it true that more than 3 stents cannot be released? This needs to be assessed according to the condition and is not absolute. It is not absolute, but it is based on whether the treatment effect can be achieved. However, doctors do not support too many stents implantation. Nowadays, the average number of stents in China is about 1 or 5 per patient. 7.Will domestic or imported stents be placed? At present, there is no big difference in the effect. However, the imported stents have better ability to pass through the lesion, and the price is twice as expensive. As long as the diameter and length of the stent match with the blood vessel, it is good. One point should be pointed out that domestic stents are only available for 2.5mm and above, if you put in 2.5mm or below, you can only use imported ones. Imported stents are available in 2.25mm. 8.Stents are minor surgery? This statement is absolutely wrong, it is only a small trauma on the surface, but there are complications and death, which are related to the severity and complexity of the disease and the experience of the operator. The mortality rate is less than 1%, as we can achieve here. However, the overall mortality rate in China is about 1 to 3%. 9.Can stents cure coronary heart disease? At present, no method can cure coronary heart disease, and stent is only a treatment measure like drugs. Coronary heart disease, like hypertension and diabetes, requires lifelong treatment. Aspirin, lipid-lowering drugs, etc. need to be taken for life and it has nothing to do with whether stents are put in or not.
