Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is an acquired bleeding disorder of unknown cause, which can be reasonably treated by acute phase therapy, general therapy, drug therapy and surgery.
1. Acute treatment: For patients with cerebral hemorrhage or other serious bleeding complications, they need to be treated with emergency platelet transfusion or high-dose intravenous gammaglobulin.
2. General treatment: patients need to limit their activities to avoid trauma and bleeding; avoid using drugs that can affect platelet function, such as common aspirin and so on.
3.Drug treatment
(1) Glucocorticoid: suitable for the treatment of severe bleeding or bleeding risk, commonly used drugs are prednisone, dexamethasone, etc., the specific drugs should follow the doctor’s instructions.
(2) Immunosuppressants: For patients who are poorly treated with glucocorticosteroids or who are chronically refractory, immunosuppressants can be used, such as azathioprine, cyclophosphamide and so on.
4. Surgery: For those who are ineffective or dependent on glucocorticosteroids, or have persistent bleeding symptoms or life-threatening symptoms, splenectomy can be used as soon as possible under the guidance of the doctor.
Specific treatments should be carried out under the guidance of doctors according to the conditions of different patients.
