You can let your child eat some millet and mung bean porridge, oatmeal and lily porridge, corn and lotus root porridge, etc., and change them every day. At the same time, let your child eat milk, eggs, lean meat, fish, soy products and fresh vegetables to meet the body’s needs for protein, various vitamins and trace elements. You should also give your child fruits according to the season, such as apples, peaches, grapes, sugar cane, bananas, watermelon, tomatoes, etc., which can replenish vitamins and nourish stomach yin. But be careful not to eat fried and smoked foods, not to drink drinks containing too much sugar, and avoid spicy and warm foods such as chili, mustard, pepper, dry ginger, mutton, dog meat and fatty meat to avoid damaging the child’s spleen and stomach. If the child has a loss of appetite, a thin body, a pale or yellowish complexion, frequent drooling, weakness and laziness, sweating at the slightest activity, sleepy eyes, loose stools, formed stools and more frequent stools, the child is suffering from a deficiency of spleen and stomach energy. The child should eat japonica yam porridge, japonica rice and red dates porridge, glutinous rice and lentils porridge, lotus seeds and red dates and glutinous rice porridge. You can also eat beef and radish casserole. You can eat some seasonal fruits and dark green, red and yellow vegetables in moderation.
