Myopic people still have blurry eyes when they get older

People who are nearsighted may have blurred eyes in old age, but there is no necessary connection between myopia and presbyopia. Myopia and presbyopia are two different refractive states. Myopia is a pathological condition caused by improper use of the eye or elongation of the eye axis, resulting in imaging in front of the retina, resulting in decreased farsightedness and normal near vision. Presbyopia, on the other hand, is a normal physiological phenomenon that occurs as the crystals gradually harden with age and the adjustment power decreases, which is a normal physiological decline process, and is also related to life’s eye habits and other factors. The reason why myopic people have the illusion that they will not have blurred eyes when they are old is because myopic people have relatively good near vision compared to far vision, and they can see clearly without adjustment. However, whether the patient is nearsighted or presbyopic, he or she should undergo a regular optometry and wear glasses with the right prescription. In addition, in daily life, patients should maintain good eye habits and avoid long hours of watching cell phones, TV or working at a desk.
