Yesterday, under the guidance of Professor Sun Li from Washington Heart Center, we successfully performed coronary artery bypass surgery for a patient with severe stenosis in multiple vessels. From now on, Prof. Sun Li will come to our hospital 2 days a month to supervise the operation. The patient was a male, a long-time heavy smoker, combined with diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia and hypertension. A month ago, he came to our hospital with acute coronary syndrome. Emergency coronary angiography showed that the long segment of the left anterior descending branch was 95% stenosed, the diagonal branch was 90% stenosed, the left circumflex branch was 80% stenosed, and the posterior descending branch of the right coronary artery was 80% stenosed. This is an absolute indication for coronary artery bypass grafting because of the combination of multiple vascular lesions and diabetes mellitus. Therefore, after active preoperative preparation, non-extracorporeal cardiac bypass grafting was performed yesterday under general anesthesia. The operation went smoothly and lasted for 3 hours. During the ICU period, the vital signs were stable, and at 20:00, the indicators were stable and the bleeding was low. This morning, he was able to eat on his own in bed and was transferred back to the general ward at noon. He is now in stable condition.
