Some breast cancer patients will have swollen and painful axillary lymph nodes. These are often not early stage breast cancer manifestations, but are often intermediate or advanced stage breast cancer manifestations. Patients with this type of breast cancer first feel discomfort in the armpit, and the axillary lymph nodes will be swollen and affect arm lifting, which are all manifestations of breast cancer axillary metastasis, i.e. swollen axillary lymph nodes. When breast cancer is detected early, there will be several comprehensive treatment options, taking surgery and chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and also endocrine therapy. In short, it is important to monitor the degree of change of the lymph node mass in the armpit. Therefore, when many breast cancer patients undergo surgery, they will often see the incision extended to the lower part of the armpit, mainly to clear the lymph nodes in the armpit and remove the lymphatic lesions with obvious manifestations in the armpit for pathological examination to check which layer of lymph nodes the cancer cells really go to, which is beneficial to the subsequent selection of treatment options, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy or targeted therapy after surgery, all of which are related to the surgical treatment modality adopted.
