Why surgery is not recommended for lower extremity venous thrombosis

If the doctor does not recommend surgery for lower extremity venous thrombosis, it may be because the patient is not suitable for surgical treatment, such as severe diabetes or other conditions that are not suitable for surgery.
Lower extremity venous thrombosis is usually caused by damage to the vein walls and slow blood flow through the veins, which can cause swelling of the affected limb and in severe cases can lead to varicose veins which are more difficult to treat.
If surgery is not recommended, it may be due to: (1) the patient’s condition is mild and can be cured by medication, then surgery is not necessary; (2) when the patient has severe diabetes, heart disease and other conditions that are not suitable for surgery, surgery can not be performed immediately.
When venous thrombosis of the lower extremities occurs and the symptoms persist without improvement, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, under the guidance of a professional doctor, to develop a targeted treatment plan, and consult to decide to take surgery or other treatment to help improve the condition.
