Chickenpox vaccination time

The best time for varicella vaccination is between 12 and 18 months of age, and the earlier the vaccination, the earlier the benefit. Varicella is an acute infectious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus, which is transmitted mainly through saliva droplets, and the population is generally susceptible, with a peak age of 2-6 years. Timely vaccination can help children prevent infection caused by exposure to chickenpox patients or droplet transmission. The main symptoms are fever, general malaise, and loss of appetite. The typical clinical features are “polymorphic rash”, i.e., macules, papules, blisters and scabs, which can lead to death in severe cases. Varicella vaccination is the safest and most effective way to prevent chickenpox. A few people have a transient fever or rash, which usually does not require special treatment and can subside on its own. The chickenpox vaccine is a self-funded vaccine and is available on a voluntary basis.
