Why spondylolisthesis should not be easily done by pushing?

Among chronic low back pain, lumbar instability such as spondylolisthesis, especially lumbar spondylolisthesis, is another common disease after lumbar disc herniation and lumbar spinal stenosis, and often occurs in combination with the first two. Spondylolisthesis brings pain and trouble to the body, compared with other back and leg pain diseases, but is often overlooked. Especially in the treatment, the usual massage and traction are often used to deal with spondylolisthesis or lumbar disc herniation combined with spondylolisthesis and other lumbar and leg pain diseases, which can bring patients later. For the instability of the lumbar spine caused by spinal slippage, if you try to reset the slipped vertebrae by pushing and traction, due to the lack of effective resistance and fixation, such pushing and traction will only increase the intervertebral looseness and vertebral sliding, which will aggravate the slippage and instability of the lumbar spine, and the symptoms will not be improved, but may aggravate the spinal cord, cauda equina or nerve root compression, and even bring the danger of paralysis. Therefore, even experienced massage therapists should not implement massage for lumbar instability like spinal slippage.
