What to do if your baby has a rash

The treatment of rashes in infants depends mainly on the cause of the rash, commonly known as allergic dermatitis, urticaria, viral rash, etc. Specific identification and treatment methods are as follows: 1. Allergic dermatitis. Characterized by itching, mostly manifested as a generalized or localized red skin rash with itching, before the onset of some patients have a clear history of allergen exposure (such as coming to a new environment, or eating fish, shrimp, eggs, toon and other foods that can easily lead to allergies, or new drugs). At this time, contact with allergens should be stopped promptly, and topical application of glyburide lotion and denuded ointment should be applied 2-3 times during the day, and the ointment should be applied once at night. Drink more water in life, babies over 3 months can drink water rich in vitamin C as appropriate, and babies over 6 months can add cetirizine drops. 2, hives. The cause is similar to that of allergic rash, the rash is manifested as a wind-burst, similar to a mosquito bite board bag, which can subside on its own and occur elsewhere, the location is not fixed. Treatment is different from atopic dermatitis, with oral anti-allergy medication (cetirizine drops or loratadine syrup) being the mainstay. 3. Viral rash. Most combined with fever, poor spirit and other manifestations of viral infections, it is recommended to isolate from other children, oral antiviral drugs such as Qingkai Ling, cold and flu spirit flush, drink more water, rest more, if there is a cough and other conditions promptly seek medical attention to investigate the possibility of viral pneumonia. The rash is a common phenomenon in infants, but most of them can be cured after treatment, so parents should not be overly nervous about the extent of the rash.
