Medically, the lungs can be divided into the right and left lungs, with the right lung divided into the upper, middle, and lower lobes of the lung. If there is a nodule with calcification and shoulder pain in the lower right lobe of the lung, it is not necessarily cancer. It may be caused by inflammation or, of course, by a tumor in the lung. Generally lung nodules and calcified foci are those localized lesions less than 3 cm in diameter; among lung nodules, nodules and calcified foci less than 5 mm in diameter are called tiny nodules, and nodules and calcified foci between 5 and 10 mm in diameter are called small lung nodules, in fact, it is helpful to diagnose the disease by each lung nodule of different sizes.
And the causes of nodule formation in the lung are very complex and are commonly seen in the following conditions: 1, charcoal end deposits due to long-term exposure to smoking and air pollution; 2, inflammation and tuberculosis in the lung; 3, lung tumors such as misshapen tumors, sclerosing hemangiomas, and atypical adenomatous hyperplasia; and 4, lung cancer. If the chest radiograph suggests nodules with calcification in the right lower lung lobe and the patient also has symptoms of shoulder pain, further examination should be aggressive.
