Dear experts, leaders, members and delegates: Good day, everyone! Weinan, with its simple breeze, is thick with ancient and modern. The majestic China has received its name since then. This is my understanding of Weinan written in the style of the Book of Songs. The first poem of the Book of Songs, Guan Guan Ju, on the River …… The first poem of the poem, Guan Guan Ju, is from Heyang in Weinan. Huaxia got its name from Mount Huashan and Hancheng in the territory of Weinan, which was known as Xiayang in ancient times. Today, we are gathered in Weinan, a place of great wealth and talent, to hold the 5th Annual Meeting of the Shaanxi Health Care Association Youth Vision Care and Optometry Professional Committee and the Western Optometry Forum, feeling very different from the past. The first time we stepped out of Xi’an, we chose such a region with simple folklore and rich history. In the future, the annual meeting will be held in each city in the province in turn. We hope you will support it! Studio Ophthalmology Xu Yuan On the occasion of the opening of the conference, first of all, on behalf of the conference organizers, let me express our deep gratitude to Professor Zhao Kanxing, President Yu Gang, Director Liu Hu, and Director Li Zhigang, who have come all the way to give us the benefit of their experience! I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the leaders and experts, such as Director Geng Qingyi and Professor Hui Yannian, who took time out of their busy schedules to support this event. And to all the participants, a warm welcome! We would also like to thank President Xu Zhaohong and his team, who made great contributions to this conference. They are the ones who, in addition to their intense work, undertook a large and tedious amount of preparation work. You have worked hard! We would also like to thank Beijing Jia Cheng Company, Xi’an Aotong Company, Shanghai Vision Howe Company, Shenzhen Kang Zhe Pharmaceutical, Beijing Coriander Health, Xi’an Cai Yi Optical, Danyang Haitong Optical and a number of other businesses that have been supporting the work of our professional committee. Without their support, there would not be our outstanding academic activities one after another. Thank you once again! Over the past year, our professional committee, under the leadership of the Health Care Association, with the efforts of our colleagues, and with the support and help of the older generation of experts, has done some work. Today, the main aspects of the following report to you: First, the focus on youth vision health care, academic research. The problem of youth vision has attracted the attention of the whole society. In recent years, we have seen an increasing incidence of myopia among adolescents, with the age of occurrence decreasing day by day and the degree of myopia increasing at the same age. All this is a challenge before each of us physicians and a challenge to our profession. The collective power of our professional committee to conduct large-scale research and intervention is our strength. To this end, we have contacted more than a dozen primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, conducted vision screening of primary and secondary school students, and carried out focused interventions. Demonstration classes were established to practice binocular vision function and to form a control with the regular classes. The observation is entering its third year and has begun to show results. Binocular vision function is the ultimate in the evolution of human vision. It includes regulation, convergence and dispersion and central image processing. Binocular vision abnormalities may be an important link in the development of myopia. Capturing this point has many topics to work on. In addition to screening and intervention, we have made many statistics and accumulations of binocular vision status in patients attending our outpatient clinics. It was found that the percentage of positive red glass test was significantly higher in the myopic population than in the general population. The results of binocular vision training for these children were much worse than those of children with negative red glass tests. For this reason, we carried out trigonometry fitting and made statistics on the effect of oculomotor training. It was seen that oculomotor training had a significant effect on the reduction of the need for tricorders or the removal of tricorders. There was a significant difference in the effect of oculomotor training with trigeminal lenses and without trigeminal lenses. A large amount of data is being processed. The choice of the best indication in the study of myopia control by corneal shaping has been controversial in the less economically developed western region. Without data on peripheral refraction, it can only be carried out blindly. We found an intereasy aberrometer to find evidence of this peripheral defocus. After modification, a mid-range computerized optometry with aberration function can perform this function. This will be of great help to the western region to carry out this project. Second, introduce and promote 4D training system to carry out binocular vision training. 4D training system is a device used for amblyopia treatment. While providing treatment for amblyopic patients, establishing binocular vision and stereo vision, and consolidating the effect of treatment, some attempts have been made to deal with binocular vision abnormalities caused by other disorders. After the amblyopic children reach normal vision, there are two problems, one is the unstable efficacy, and the other is the difficulty to recover stereo vision. Since the introduction of 4D training program in 2013, we have conducted fusion training for a large number of amblyopic patients who have reached basic cure and obtained the desired effect, and the efficacy of this device on fusion function recovery is exceptionally remarkable. Since the second half of last year, we have also made some attempts on myopic patients with binocular vision abnormalities, and the initial observation is satisfactory. At the same time, we have also tried 4D training for adults with visual fatigue and high intraocular pressure who were found to have abnormal binocular vision, and the results were particularly satisfactory. Data collection is underway, and greater results can be expected. Third, we have carried out low vision assistance, participated in the census, and donated a large number of low vision aids. Based on the professional committee, a leading group for low vision prevention and treatment in Beilin District was established. Participated in the low vision census for more than 70,000 people and donated more than 2,000 sets of low vision aids. The Disabled Persons’ Federation of Beilin District has provided us with office space. Fourth, among the professional members, organize special academic seminars. From time to time, variable personnel and variable ways of organizing academic seminars for seeking a number of topics. V. Carry out popular science propaganda. Through a variety of forms of science popularization publicity, to convey eye health knowledge. We have participated in and organized 2 scientific lectures; invited members of the professional committee to participate in health lectures once a month; organized members to write more than 10 scientific articles, which were published in newspapers and magazines such as Xi’an News, Huashang News, Popular Medical Health Education and Health Guide. They provide health references for the majority of young people and eye disease patients. It is hoped that through these easy-to-understand texts, patients can learn about vision, eye diseases and healthy living habits, actively prevent the development of eye diseases and actively cooperate with treatment. It is also aimed at the majority of primary care doctors so that they can learn about optometry and eye health. Then let them pass on this eye care knowledge to all young people. Sixth, actively participate in social activities, this year organized two essay competitions for primary and secondary school students. Eye Care Essay, which involved more than 7,000 people. Have students look up their own information and write their own essays on topics and knowledge related to eye care. Let students increase their knowledge of eye care and enhance their awareness of eye care in their studies. The impact has been great and the results have been very fruitful. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the war, we assisted the 93 Society and the Education Commission of Beilin District to hold an essay contest for elementary and middle schools in Beilin District, entitled “Forget the National Shame, Love China”. The contest was co-sponsored by the Youth Vision Care and Optometry Professional Committee. While cultivating patriotism in primary and secondary school students, we remind them to pay attention to vision care. VII. Encourage members to participate in academic activities and hold an annual meeting. Strengthen the awareness of professional committee members to participate in meetings, remind the time and place of national academic activities, and recommend members to participate in national academic activities and professional academic activities in some provinces and cities. In the past year, the members of the professional committee, participated in various academic presentations and lectures more than 30 times. The Annual Meeting and Western Optometric Forum, not only provides a learning opportunity, but also has an important significance to the development of youth vision care and optometry in Shaanxi Province and even in the western region. This event, with the main line of binocular vision, invited Professor Zhao Kanxing and other, top experts to understand vision care and guide optometry from the aspect of eye muscle. This will be a blessing for our youth in the western region. Here, once again, I would like to express my gratitude to them for coming. Also, to the experts in the province who have prepared well for this event, thank you! VIII. Outstanding work performance and advanced year after year. Since the year-end evaluation of each professional committee by the Health Care Association in 2012, the Youth Vision Care and Optometry Professional Committee has been awarded as an advanced professional committee for three consecutive years. This is the result of everyone’s joint efforts. We hope that through our efforts, we will always maintain such honor. IX. Problems. Although the research topics are at the frontier, the equipment gap is large, and there are still many urgent problems to be solved. The first is the funding problem. Consider the following solutions: First, through each meeting when the appeal, I hope that the leaders pay attention to focus on this aspect of research funding. Secondly, we should mobilize social forces and seek support from businessmen. Third, to strengthen ourselves, with the help of the conference exchange, to get the support of experts, to publish high-grade articles, and to obtain the national science and technology grants or provincial projects. There is also the problem of low start. This is related to the geographical and economic environment we are in. It takes time to catch up, please give me time. Thank you all!
