Can children recover from astigmatism 200

Astigmatism of 200 degrees in children is generally not recoverable, but some patients can try to correct it through surgical methods after the age of 18. Astigmatism in children is caused by congenital irregularities in the shape of the cornea, which is a relatively common phenomenon in ophthalmology and is generally not recoverable. It is corrected by wearing frame glasses or rigid contact lenses to avoid deepening astigmatism. If there is a history of keratitis, eye trauma, eye surgery, etc., corneal scarring is usually formed, resulting in irregular astigmatism, which is also unrecoverable because of the non-fading corneal scarring. Surgery such as corneal laser and IOL implantation have some possibility of recovery, but they are not available to everyone. You must wait until after the age of 18, when your development is more stable and you have undergone a series of strict examinations and meet the conditions. After the appearance of astigmatism, you can go to the ophthalmology department for regular review to understand the degree of astigmatism development for effective treatment. Pay attention to eye hygiene, don’t squint or lie down to read, and take a 10-minute break after every half hour of close eye use or look into the distance.
