Obesity gene, what to do with you?

Obesity is, to some extent, genetically determined. Even so, we should maintain a balanced diet. So how to choose food? Let food cleverly match is actually in eating healthy food, to keep in mind, food variety, cereal-based, coarse and fine with; eat more vegetables and fruits and potatoes; eat light and less salt meals; eat fresh and hygienic food; eat but not too much, daily exercise, maintain a healthy weight.
The results of the study showed that respondents who were discriminated against by the name of obesity had a 2.5 times greater chance of gaining weight than the general respondents, which may be due to bodily functions, or the physical reaction caused by the frustration of obesity discrimination. In fact, obesity is to a certain extent determined by genes. Of course, we should still maintain a balanced diet.
1, the father overweight influence more
Eat a lot, especially love to eat junk food, but also move less, the consequences will be quite serious, there is the United States Temple University research results as evidence. The researchers recruited six male volunteers for a special experiment, hoping to find out the association between the American diet and type II diabetes. Of the volunteers, three were of normal weight and three were overweight, none of whom were considered obese or unhealthy. The researchers asked the volunteers to be hospitalized for a week, always lying in a hospital bed, with any form of exercise strictly prohibited, and also asked the volunteers to consume pizza, burgers and other junk food every day, with a total calorie intake of 6,000 calories, which is 2 to 2.5 times the calories of their daily diet.
In a report published in the journal Science Translational Medicine, the researchers wrote that by the second day of the experiment, each volunteer experienced a rapid and sustained increase in blood insulin and insulin tolerance, enough to cause “severe systemic and adipose tissue insulin resistance. By the end of the experiment, the volunteers had gained an average of 3.5 kg each and showed signs of insulin resistance and oxidative stress. Insulin resistance predisposes to metabolic syndrome and type II diabetes, and oxidative stress is thought to be an important factor in aging and disease.
So what causes us to lose weight no matter how much we lose? New research from the University of Cambridge suggests that genes have a far greater impact on obesity than we might think. In this investigation, the research team for the 2101 people suffering from obesity to investigate found that their genes in a gene called KSR2 mutation, and these people are very easy to feel hungry, while calorie consumption also seems to be abnormally sluggish.
In life we often see a lot of how to eat can not eat fat people, but also can hear a lot of people complain that they will be fat even if they drink water. In the past we always think that obese people are caused by poor diet life or lack of exercise, will not take such complaints to heart. But the latest research from British universities shows that genes have a far greater impact on obesity than we thought.
Professor Sadaf Farooqi of Cambridge University points out that there is an inextricable link between dietary habits and exercise intensity and the recent worldwide increase in obesity, “but it cannot be denied that there are indeed people who are more likely to be obese than the average person, and this gap is brought about mainly because of the effects caused by DNA.”
The discovery of this DNA is thought to enable the development of future therapeutic drugs for childhood obesity and obesity-induced diabetes. A few years ago, a gene called FTO was found to suppress satiety and make people prefer fatty sweets, thus opening the door to the understanding of genetic effects on human body weight. This study further confirms the suspicion that genes have an impact on human body weight, and it is believed that the future treatment of obesity and diabetes will also take a new step on the basis of genes.
Another study also pointed out that in a family, the father’s influence is huge. Previously, a study at Ohio University showed that overweight fathers were more likely than mothers to cause problems with their children in terms of obesity. According to the report, scientists in the group determined by changes in the metabolic rate of rat families: the metabolic rate and behavioral performance of the offspring were related to their father’s daily diet before conception. Scientists believe that similar mechanisms exist in human genes.
Some experts say that clinically speaking, such cases are still quite common. There are many obese patients whose family members are also “heavyweights”. There is no exact scientific basis to prove that the offspring obesity and father, but experts pointed out that the possibility of heredity is not ruled out, but the diet structure and similar habits may also be a factor in this situation.
  2.Eat less and will eat
So how exactly can control their weight? In fact, few weight loss “tricks” will really work. Significantly reducing the amount of food consumed is the most effective way to lose weight, but obviously, it is also one of the most difficult methods, not only because we enjoy food, we tend to crave food, and this desire will always overcome our reason.
A new study released by the University of Cambridge suggests that reducing food portions by using smaller plates (and if you’re a food manufacturer, producing products in smaller packages) can be the easiest way to get your weight loss problem out of the way.
Of course, they have a good point. There has been a significant increase in food portions over the past few decades, and readjusting what we consider normal dietary standards would go a long way toward addressing the obesity epidemic. This is certainly not a bad idea, as the conclusion involves the psychology of eating, though there is another factor at play – a biological one.
First is the suggestion made by the authors of this study. The study found that people tend to finish the food placed in front of them, and it’s not surprising that they would eat more if larger plates and cups were used. It’s not quite clear why this happens, but the brain seems to see the entire plate of food as a whole, whether that plate is large or small.
Therefore, the researchers believe that reducing the default cup and plate size, eliminating the maximum package size of junk food and soft drinks, and stopping the sale of large portions of packaged food at a discount, these methods will help people lose a lot of weight, or at least not make them gain weight in the first place.
Researchers believe that as long as the retail industry eliminates the largest portion of packaged food, British adults will reduce their calorie intake by 12 to 16 percent, while U.S. adults will reduce their calorie intake by 22 to 29 percent. Clearly, the U.S. is ahead of the U.K. in terms of extra-large food portions.
While the logic of this suggestion sounds irrefutable, though they fail to take into account another issue: the extent to which we are addicted to particular foods. In other words, it’s not just about the portion size of the food we consume, but also about the content of the food we eat. Since specific food combinations trigger addictive behavior, this trigger also overcomes the rational thought of stopping eating when we’re full, even if the food is placed on a smaller plate.
So how do you choose your food? The understanding of diet should be that there is no bad food in the world, only irrational meals. According to the 16th century Renaissance Swiss pharmacologist Parasalthus, only the dose can determine whether a substance is toxic or not. The same is true for food; only quantity can determine whether a food is junk food or not.
Red meat, sugary drinks, foods high in cholesterol and salt can certainly be called unhealthy foods, but as long as the quantity is limited, it will not affect one’s health. Therefore, instead of saying that some food is junk food, it is better to say that there is no smart combination of food when choosing food.
In this regard, the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the Chinese Nutrition Society have long provided dietary guidelines for Chinese people. The core of the latest edition of the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2011 Revised Edition) is also to show the public the dietary pagoda principles of dietary matching, that is, the proportion of intake of various types of food. The first layer (bottom layer) of the dietary pagoda is cereals, potatoes and beans, the second layer is vegetables and fruits, the third layer is meat, fish, shrimp and eggs, the fourth layer is milk and milk products, soybeans and nuts, and the fifth layer is cooking oil and salt. From more to less, there is a scientific ration for daily food intake.
However, in life, it is difficult for some people to consume food in such proportions and, more importantly, many Chinese people cannot do so with only 6 grams of salt and 25-30 grams of oil per day. The results of a survey on the nutrition and health status of the Chinese population found that Chinese residents consume 42 grams of cooking oil per day, which is much higher than the recommended amount; the average salt intake is 12 grams, which is 2.4 times the value recommended by the World Health Organization.
To look at dietary balance in another way, we should keep in mind that a variety of food, cereal-based, coarse and fine mix; eat more vegetables, fruits and potatoes; eat dairy, soy or soy products every day; eat an appropriate amount of fish, poultry, eggs and lean meat; reduce the amount of cooking oil, eat light and less salt diet; do not eat too much, exercise every day, maintain a healthy weight; three meals should be distributed reasonably, snacks should be appropriate; drink a sufficient amount of water every day, a reasonable choice of drinks Drinking alcohol should be in moderation; eat fresh and healthy food.
  3.Break the health rumors
There are also some weight loss “traps” that we need to avoid. First of all, skim milk can make people slimmer, in order to have a slim body, many women choose skim milk, unaware that this may bring trouble to your face, the rise of acne will find the door.
Researchers at Harvard University found that women who drank more than two cups of skim milk a day had a 44 percent higher probability of having acne on their faces than the norm. Acne is closely related to the amount of skim milk consumed. Therefore, when choosing dairy products, whole milk or other types of milk beverages can be one of the choices.
In addition, most people believe that junk food is fattening and therefore non-healthy. In fact, the food itself is not good or bad, but mainly depends on the amount of food eaten. Eating a hamburger and fries once in a while does not make your body fat. Experts say that when you eat at a fast food restaurant, you must pay attention to whether the fast food you choose is well-matched. A hamburger, with salad greens and a glass of juice, such a combination is not non-healthy food. Even if you have a craving for too much at one time, it is not difficult to remedy, the next meal with fruit instead can be.
Also, cellulite does not only affect women who are obese, because cellulite is not blamed on weight, but on loose connective tissue. In addition to genetics, women’s connective tissues automatically loosen up as they age. Smoking and drinking alcohol and coffee can also cause the connective tissue to grow annoying folds. In addition, chocolate, meat, and French fries are also foods that contribute to the creation of cellulite in the buttocks and legs.
