Diet for infertile patients with polycystic ovary syndrome

  Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome infertility often have obesity, hirsutism, non-ovulation, and abnormal menstruation. Obesity in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome aggravates endocrine abnormalities, affects fat and sugar metabolism making drug treatment more difficult, so dietary modifications are very important and reasonable dietary habits are the key to assist in treatment. Patients should have a light diet, avoiding spicy and stimulating food, and avoiding sweet, fatty and tonic food.  Polycystic ovary syndrome in the dietary treatment can eat more of the following foods Cucumber: crisp and delicious, has a clear heat, thirst, diuretic effect. The fiber it contains can promote the intestinal discharge of food waste, thus reducing the absorption of cholesterol. Cucumber also contains a substance called “malonic acid”, which can inhibit the conversion of sugars into fat in the body, and has the effect of weight loss and adjustment of lipid metabolism.  Eggplant: contains a variety of vitamins, especially the purple eggplant contains more vitamin P, can enhance cell adhesion, improve microvascular elasticity. Medical research shows that eggplant can lower cholesterol and also prevent vascular damage caused by hyperlipidemia, which can assist in the treatment of hypertension, hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis.  Mung beans: summer heat-clearing good, specific lowering blood lipids, heart protection, prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease. Experiments have proved that mung beans can effectively reduce serum cholesterol, triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein, and significantly reduce the symptoms of coronary artery atherosclerosis.  Shiitake mushroom: It is effective in eliminating food, removing fat and lowering blood pressure. The fiber contained in it promotes gastrointestinal peristalsis, prevents constipation and reduces the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine. Shiitake mushrooms also contain mushroom purine and other nucleic acid substances, which can promote cholesterol decomposition. Regular consumption of shiitake mushrooms can lower total cholesterol and triglycerides.  Sweet potatoes: nutrition research found that moderate consumption of sweet potatoes can prevent lipid deposition in the cardiovascular system, prevent atherosclerosis, so that subcutaneous fat reduction, to avoid excessive obesity. It should be noted that excessive intake of sweet potatoes can increase the total calories eaten, but is not conducive to reducing blood lipids.  Hawthorn: mainly contains hawthorn acid, citric acid, lipolytic acid, vitamin C, flavonoids, carbohydrates and other components, has the function of dilating blood vessels, improving microcirculation, reducing blood pressure, promoting cholesterol excretion and reducing blood lipids. Hawthorn is an acidic food, so it should not be eaten on an empty stomach or for too long, preferably after meals.  Finally, we remind patients with polycystic ovary syndrome that it is not effective to rely on food therapy, but to be treated under the guidance of a doctor, and that food therapy is only an aid.
