How is upper lid skin laxity treated?

Upper eyelid skin laxity is most common in middle-aged and older patients, mainly due to aging of the skin and sagging of the skin, especially the outer skin laxity is obvious. There are also younger patients with upper lid skin laxity, mostly caused by some diseases or long-term use of double eyelid patches. The key point is the estimation of the amount of skin removed and the design of the eyelid line. The main disadvantage is that some middle-aged and older patients have delayed lymphatic return after blepharoplasty and swelling can take up to several months to recover.
