“Lymph node enlargement generally occurs in the injected lymph nodes, which are like the “traffic hubs” of the various roads and are most likely to become blocked and enlarged.
The interstitial lymph nodes, which are the main route of lymphatic drainage to the breast.
The apical lymph nodes and supraclavicular lymph nodes.
Parasternal lymph nodes.
Interpectoral lymph nodes or apical lymph nodes.
The anterior group of supra-septal lymph nodes.
When breast cancer develops lymphatic metastases, it may invade the axillary lymph nodes and the parasternal lymph nodes. If the lymphatic flow is obstructed, the tumour cells may metastasise to the opposite breast or liver. Therefore, lymph node enlargement can occur in all these areas.”
