Do you know about urinary incontinence?

Some women, involuntary urine leakage when coughing, exercise, laughing, or always want to urinate, urinate significantly more often, sometimes suddenly want to urinate too late to find the toilet to have urine drowning and so on, you should be alert to the fact that you may belong to urinary incontinence. When incontinence occurs you need to further understand the following questions: 1, what type of incontinence I am? The most common types of female incontinence are stress incontinence and urge incontinence. This can be determined by physical examination and urodynamic testing. 2. What is the degree of my incontinence? This can be graded subjectively and objectively based on the conditions under which the patient is leaking and the results of the urinary pad test. 3.How do I treat it? In general, mild stress incontinence can be treated with pelvic floor muscle exercises, while moderate to severe cases can be treated with surgical options. For acute urinary incontinence, medication is the treatment of choice. Urodynamic testing is based on the basic principles and methods of fluid dynamics and electrophysiology to evaluate urinary function and diagnose diseases in terms of abnormal state of urination by monitoring the function of the urinary excretory system. The urodynamic diagnosis is divided into GSI, DI and MTI with reference to the regulations of the International Society of Urological Control, and the examination includes uroflow rate, cystometry (including intravesical pressure, intra-abdominal pressure and forceps pressure), urethral closure manometry and subvesical cystourethrography, as well as the measurement and graphic description of each parameter under different circumstances such as instructing the patient to cough, change position and abort urination. Based on the results of the examination, a comprehensive judgment is made. In recent years there are more and more methods of treating urinary incontinence, and urodynamic examinations have an important reference in the selection of treatment options for urinary incontinence, especially when choosing open surgery. The adoption of surgical treatment based on clinical diagnosis alone is an important reason for unsatisfactory treatment results. Currently, most physicians agree that the results of urodynamic testing should be given high priority in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with lower urinary tract syndrome. Urodynamic examination instructions 1, the morning of the examination, please empty the stool, dry stool patients in advance with laxative. 2, the morning of the examination should eat breakfast. 3, drink water at home to hold urine to the hospital examination (drink about 800ml of water 1 hour in advance). 4.Patients with heart disease and diabetes should be informed. 5.Please drink more water within 3 days after the urodynamic examination to prevent urinary tract infection. 6.Follow the doctor’s instructions to take antibiotics. 7.As it takes a long time to do urodynamic examination, please come to the hospital according to the appointment time so as not to affect other people’s examination. At present, our department carries out urodynamic examination all year round.
