How long does it take for a positive Mycoplasma to turn negative?

The time to turn negative for mycoplasma is related to various factors such as the severity of the patient’s condition, individual circumstances, and treatment, and cannot be generalized. Positive mycoplasma infection indicates mycoplasma infection in the body. Some mycoplasma infects mainly the respiratory tract, and patients may have symptoms such as coughing, coughing, fever, malaise, and loss of appetite. Some mycoplasma infect the genitourinary system, manifesting as urethritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. In milder mycoplasma infections, patients can get gradual relief of symptoms within 3-5 days by using macrolide antibiotics and resistance of their own immunity. If the mycoplasma infection is severe and the patient’s basic immunity is low, it will take longer for the patient’s symptoms to gradually resolve and for the mycoplasma to turn negative. Therefore, patients should go to the respiratory, gynecological or urological departments of the hospital as soon as they become unwell, actively cooperate with the treatment, pay attention to rest and eat properly.
