The use of simple nasal washer and precautions

Daily saline or hypertonic saline rinses the nasal cavity, the main function of which is to rinse out pus nasal discharge, dust, allergens, viruses, etc. from the nasal cavity, relieve ventilation, alleviate nasal discomfort, etc. It is safe, effective, non-irritating and can be rinsed for a long time. The simple nasal washer includes two parts: the nose washer head and the syringe tube, all of which are made of new medical materials and are absolutely odorless. By pushing the syringe, the water in the syringe tube is rushed into the nasal cavity through the syringe head to achieve the purpose of rinsing the nose. Applicable people: All people except children under 3 years old or other special patients such as delirium. It can be used by normal adults, children over 3 years old, pregnant women or patients suffering from acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, adenoid hypertrophy, etc. Children under 3 years old can also try to use it (it is recommended to replace the syringe tube with a 1 or 2ml one), caution is needed and the guidance of an ENT doctor is recommended. How to use: Connect the nasal washer and the syringe tube, put the head of the nasal washer into the prepared saline, pump back the syringe, pump the saline into the syringe tube, and expel the air inside the tube. Put the head of the nasal washer into one side of the nasal cavity, hold it with the left hand and push the syringe with the right hand, so that the water in the syringe tube will rush into the nasal cavity through the head of the nasal washer and the saline will flow out from the other nasal cavity or spit out from the mouth, and one nasal wash will be completed. Rinse the head of the nasal washer and put it into the saline again to draw saline and prepare for the second rinse of the nasal cavity. Rinse each nasal cavity 2-3 times, and then change the other nasal cavity for 2-3 times. Caution: 1. Rinse slowly when washing the nose for the first time, and speed up after adaptation. 2. Wash more often when there is more pus, 3-4 times a day, and once every 2-3 days when there is less pus. When rinsing, you can move your nose up and down a little to rinse different parts of the nasal cavity. The right right does not need to be active. The preparation of nasal wash saline: the water used for nasal wash is best to use pure water boiling water plus pure water cold water modulation into about 35 ℃ of saline, the water temperature rather low, not too high. Children can properly adjust the water temperature according to the feelings of children, can be slightly lower than 35 ℃. So when adjusting the water temperature also need to try several times, to ask the child’s comfort, feel almost when you can rinse. After a few more attempts, you can fix the amount of boiling water and cold water to be added, and the temperature will be just right after mixing. You can use a thermometer to measure the approximate water temperature. At the beginning, it is recommended to use 0.9% physiological saline, i.e. 500ml pure water plus one packet of nasal salt (4.5g), and then gradually increase the concentration to 2%~3%, which is the latest international medical information in 2015. 500ml pure water plus one packet of nasal salt is 0.9%, plus 1.5 packets is 1.3%, plus 2 packets is 1.8%, plus 2.5 packets is 2.2%, and plus 3 packets is 2.2%. Adding 3 packs is 2.7%. The concentration is controlled according to your personal feelings. Of course, don’t worry about your child swallowing dirty water when rinsing, because we all know that many saliva and other objects flow into the stomach for digestion. Make sure to remove the child’s nervousness and let him/her breathe naturally so that he/she can rinse the nasal cavity well, and of course, he/she will enjoy the process afterwards and feel much cleaner and more comfortable than before.
