What is refractory hepatitis C?

  We currently classify patients as refractory to hepatitis C if they have more than one of the following: 1. Genotype 1.  2. Viral load greater than 10 to the sixth power.  3. Patients who relapsed after treatment.  4. Patients with insulin resistance, such as those with diabetes mellitus, obese patients.  5.Patients with liver cirrhosis, intolerant to interferon conventional treatment amount.
