Common symptoms of perianal abscess

  1.Perianal subcutaneous abscess
It is mainly painful, initially swelling, throbbing pain when suppurating, pain aggravated when defecating, urinary retention may occur when the abscess is in front of the anus, and caecal pain when the abscess is behind the anus. Systemic toxicity symptoms are light, local swelling, redness, pressure pain and fluctuating sensation.  2.Sciorectal fossa abscess
Patients have systemic toxic symptoms such as peripheral discomfort, fever and chills, and elevated body temperature. Localized swelling, redness, burning pain, throbbing pain, pressure pain, restlessness on one side of the anus, increased pain when moving and defecating, and difficulty in urination, etc.  3.Pelvic rectal fossa abscess
Patients have heavy systemic symptoms, starting with chills and high fever, peripheral fatigue, and in severe cases, toxic symptoms of sepsis. The local symptoms are light, with only the manifestation of rectal cramping, soreness or discomfort, and difficulty in urination may occur.  4.Postrectal abscess The whole body symptoms are similar to those of pelvic rectal fossa abscess, but the local symptoms are mainly soreness and pain in the caudal lumbar area, radiating to the back and both thighs, with pressure pain in the tailbone, and the patient cannot sit upright.  5.Submucosal abscess of rectum Patients have peripheral discomfort, fatigue and fever. Local irritation of the rectum is the main symptom, and there is urgency and heaviness, falling, more frequent stools or a feeling of bowel movement, etc.
