How to distinguish between common cold and novel coronavirus

The common cold is mostly triggered by cold and exertion, and symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing are common, and systemic manifestations are mild and generally not life-threatening. In contrast, in novel coronavirus infection, asymptomatic carriers can detect the virus only in the respiratory tract. In mildly ill patients, there is a mild fever, cough, stomach chills and physical discomfort. In severe cases, fever, cough and gradually increasing malaise occur in the first 3-5 days, and the disease progresses to pneumonia, severe pneumonia, and even respiratory failure and multiple organ damage after a week. If the disease further worsens, it may lead to death.
