Tertiary criteria for hypertension

The three levels of hypertension are 140/90mmHg, 160/100mmHg, and 180/110mmHg, and the risk of cardiovascular disease is high if there are no other risk factors. If there are 1-2 or 3 risk factors, or diabetes, target organ damage and complications, the risk of cardiovascular risk is very high if the blood pressure is at level 3 or higher. Risk factors include men over 55 years of age and women over 65 years of age, smoking, hyperlipidemia, early family history of cardiovascular disease, obesity and lack of physical activity, left ventricular hypertrophy, carotid artery plaque or carotid intima thickening, elevated creatinine, and microalbuminuria, all of which are risk factors. Therefore, it is not only necessary to control the blood pressure and stabilize it, but also to intervene in the risk factors that can be intervened.
