There is no definite time frame for recovery from hip pain after a fall, and it is related to the extent of the hip injury and other factors. If the pain is only temporary due to simple external impact and the effect of gravity, the pain will generally disappear gradually within 1 day. If a fall causes local soft tissue injury, such as contusion or hematoma, and causes hip pain, it will generally recover in about 7-15 days. If a fracture of the sacrococcygeal bone is caused, the pain will be significantly relieved in about 4-6 weeks after timely and correct treatment, and will basically heal in about 8-10 weeks. After the occurrence of traumatic hip pain, patients are advised to stop activities and rest immediately, and local cold compresses can be applied within 24 hours to relieve pain and bleeding. If persistent pain or unbearable pain occurs, the patient should immediately go to the hospital’s surgery or orthopedics department for physical examination, imaging and other related tests to avoid delaying the condition.
