Subcutaneous lipomas require surgery to remove.
After a lipoma occurs under the skin, a swelling will appear under the skin, and if the swelling is relatively large and interferes with work or life, or if the patient feels pain, the lipoma needs to be removed.
Surgery is the only way to remove a lipoma. Surgery is relatively simple, usually under local anesthesia for lipoma removal. Drug treatment has no obvious effect, and neither food treatment nor physical exercise has any effect, which can make the lipoma shrink, not to mention eliminating or even shrinking the lipoma.
After the diagnosis of lipoma is confirmed, it is recommended that the patient should go to the hospital, and complete the ultrasound and other examinations, which can not only confirm the diagnosis, but also determine the severity of the disease, and then decide whether surgery is needed. After the surgery, the cut tumor needs to be routinely examined by pathology, and if there is malignant lesion, further anti-tumor treatment is also needed.
