What causes a child’s intermittent cough

A child with a long cough should first be considered to have chronic bronchitis or pneumonia, resulting in a recurrent and long-lasting cough, which is related to the lack of timely or incomplete treatment and the lack of attention to proper care. The cough is initially caused by an infection, and without standard treatment at the beginning, the cough may persist and progress to the trachea and lungs or develop into an allergic cough. If a child has a cough for 3 months for 2 consecutive years, it can be diagnosed as chronic bronchitis. Failure to choose sensitive antibiotics to treat the cough or failure to standardize treatment can cause the cough to persist. Failure to pay attention to the usual diet and giving your child too many sweets or cold, hard foods is not conducive to a better cough and leads to a recurrent cough that does not heal.
