How long do you need to take amoxicillin to get better from bronchitis?

The effectiveness of taking amoxicillin for bronchitis and the time it takes to work should be determined by the patient’s specific condition and physical condition. Bronchitis is divided into acute bronchitis and chronic bronchitis. Acute bronchitis is more common with viral infections, and amoxicillin is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections, but not viruses. If acute bronchitis is combined with bacterial infection, you can consider taking amoxicillin, along with symptomatic treatment such as cough and phlegm, which usually improves in about 7 days. In contrast, patients with chronic bronchitis may have long-term cough, coughing and wheezing, and generally do not need to use antibiotic treatment, and only consider using antibiotics when there is a co-infection, but chronic disease infections are mostly Gram-negative bacterial infections, which are rarely treated with amoxicillin. Therefore, patients need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Amoxicillin is a prescription drug and should be taken under the guidance of a doctor, not on your own, to avoid delaying the disease or even causing adverse reactions.
