Can you have a second surgery for a cerebral hemorrhage?

Secondary surgery is possible for cerebral hemorrhage.
If rebleeding occurs after the first surgery for cerebral hemorrhage, a second surgery can be performed if the condition requires it. The main purpose of the surgery is to remove the hematoma in the brain and prevent the pressure of the hematoma on the brain tissue and the toxic effect of the hematoma on the brain tissue. The indications for surgery are the same as those for the first surgery. Generally, hemorrhage of more than 30 milliliters in the cerebral hemisphere and more than 10 milliliters in the cerebellum can be operated on.
Whether or not to perform a second surgical treatment should be judged according to the patient’s condition. If the amount of secondary hemorrhage is small or the patient’s physical condition is poor and he/she cannot tolerate another surgery, conservative treatment should be chosen. Patients with secondary hemorrhage should have their blood pressure closely monitored to prevent high or fluctuating blood pressure, which may cause further increase in bleeding.
