Nasal Abyss Tongjiao Granules and patchouli bile tablets which is better?

Nasobuchongtongkiao particles, patchouli bile tablets, there is no good, the two drug composition, efficacy of the application of the difference; adverse reactions, contraindications and precautions are also different.
1. Difference in composition:
(1) Nasobuchongtongjiao Granules are composed of Xinyi, Ephedra, Angelica dahurica, fried Cang Erzi, Scutellaria, wild chrysanthemum, Salviae Miltiorrhizae, licorice and so on.
(2) Patchouli bile tablets are composed of patchouli leaf extract, pig’s bile powder and auxiliary materials.
2. Difference in efficacy:
(1) The efficacy of Nasobuchongtongjiao Granules is to promote the lung and clear the orifices, dredge wind and clear heat. It is used for the treatment of acute nasal abyss (acute rhinosinusitis), which belongs to the evidence of external evils violating the lungs, with symptoms such as pressure and pain in the forehead and zygomatic bone, nasal congestion, mucous or mucous and yellow runny nose, headache, or fever, and so on.
(2) The efficacy of Huo Bile Tablet is to clear away heat and clear the orifices, and aromatize the turbidity (remove dampness and turbidity with medicines of aromatic properties). It is mainly used for the treatment of forehead headache, nasal congestion, turbid or clear nasal discharge caused by the fire in the gallbladder meridian and the internalization of dampness.
3. Adverse reactions, contraindications and precautions are different:
(1) The adverse reaction of Nasobuchongtongqiao Granules is occasional diarrhea; contraindications are still unclear; caution for those with spleen deficiency and abdominal distension; do not eat spicy food during the medication.
(2) The adverse reaction of Huo bile tablets is not clear; avoid eating spicy and fishy food. Note that anyone with spleen qi deficiency with clear and thin nasal mucus should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
The two proprietary Chinese medicines are applicable to different diseases, there is no one better. Drugs should be taken under the guidance of a physician, do not self-medication, to avoid causing adverse consequences.
