Symptoms of acute urethritis in men

Symptoms of acute urethritis in men vary according to gonococcal and non-gonococcal. Gonococcal manifestations include discomfort at the external urethral opening, abnormal discharge, frequent urination, urgency of urination and so on, while non-gonococcal manifestations include itchy urination and a small amount of discharge. 1. Acute gonococcal urethritis: Discomfort at the external urethral opening: burning, itching, redness and swelling at the external urethral opening may occur. Abnormal secretion: thin and transparent secretion appears at the external urethral opening, which turns into yellowish-white sticky purulent secretion after a few days, often polluting the underwear. Frequent urination, urgency: there may be frequent urination, urgency, painful urination, difficulty in urination and cloudy urine. Systemic symptoms: Occasionally occur, manifested by chills, low-grade fever and malaise. 2. Non-gonococcal urethritis: local symptoms are similar to those of gonorrhea, but milder. Urinary itching: mostly manifested as urinary itching, accompanied by frequent urination, urinary urgency, urinary pain and difficulty in urination. A small amount of secretion: the external urethral opening is slightly red, there is a small amount of plasma or thin mucus secretion, sometimes only manifested as a scab seal or panty dirt. Patients should go to the hospital in time when the above symptoms occur, and standardize the treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
