What causes thickening of the lips

Thickening of the lips may be caused by physiological reasons such as the consumption of chili peppers, and may also be caused by pathological reasons such as chronic lipitis and lip tumors.
1. Physiological reasons: a one-time consumption of too much chili pepper, pepper, pepper, onion, garlic, ginger, alcohol and other stimulating foods, can accelerate the local blood circulation of the lips and cause the lip mucosa congestion and edema, resulting in thickening of the lips, pain and other symptoms.
2. Pathological causes
(1) Chronic lipitis: chronic non-specific lipitis is a chronic, inflammatory disease of the lips. It can be caused by cold, dry climate, tobacco and alcohol stimulation, lip biting and other bad habits, etc., with symptoms such as lip swelling, pain and itching.
(2) Lip tumors: autoimmune, bacterial infections and other factors can cause redundant organisms on the lips, such as mucous gland cysts, hemangiomas, papillomas, etc., which cause thickening of the lips, dryness, flaking, pain and other symptoms.
Lip thickening is recommended to seek timely medical attention to clarify the diagnosis, under the guidance of the doctor for targeted treatment.
