There is no most accurate test for liver cancer. It is suggested that liver cancer patients can have liver puncture biopsy, ultrasound, CT, MRI and liver cancer marker test. 1. Liver puncture biopsy: patients with liver cancer can undergo liver puncture biopsy under the guidance of ultrasound or CT, which can confirm whether it is liver cancer. 2. Ultrasound: ultrasound can clarify whether there are occupying lesions in the liver, but it is more difficult to detect liver cancer with a diameter less than 1cm. 3. CT: CT examination can clarify the size, number and location of the tumor. 4. MRI: MRI can determine whether the tumor is benign or malignant, and can also clarify whether the tumor has metastasis. Besides, the accuracy of MRI in detecting liver cancer is relatively high. 5. Liver cancer marker test: the specific marker for hepatocellular carcinoma is alpha-fetoprotein, which can be used for diagnosis, treatment and screening of liver cancer. If the patients present liver cancer, their alpha-fetoprotein is mostly greater than 400ng/ml. The most accurate test for liver cancer does not exist, so it is recommended that patients should seek medical treatment in time.
