How to Rehabilitate a Fractured Clavicle After Plate Removal

Rehabilitation training after the removal of the plate from the clavicle fracture includes active and passive joint mobility training, muscle strength training, and proprioceptive training.
After healing of clavicle fracture plate fixation, the plate should be removed in time. Postoperative care of the surgical wound and active rehabilitation training is also needed to reduce the various complications caused by the plate fixation period, so that the clavicle fracture heals to normal standards.
1. Active and passive joint mobility training: after the wound is stabilized, we should actively carry out active and passive joint mobility exercises in all directions of the shoulder joint in a gradual and orderly manner, and restore it to the normal mobility.
2. Muscle strength training: isometric contraction of the muscles around the shoulder girdle can be practiced, followed by isotonic muscle exercises, and resistance training can be gradually increased to restore muscle strength in all aspects.
3. Proprioceptive training: It can strengthen the joint control ability with the help of unstable plane and promote the recovery of daily life function.
It is recommended that patients carry out rehabilitation training under the guidance of professional doctors and therapists, and do not train blindly on their own, so as to avoid adverse consequences such as secondary damage to the body.
