Weakness of the spleen and stomach in children manifests itself in the form of loss of appetite, reduced food intake, pale complexion, emaciation, mental lethargy, irregular bowel movements (abnormal stools), and in severe cases, irritability and hypersomnia, and heat in the hands, feet and heart.

Pediatric massage can be used to tonify the spleen and earth, transport the internal eight trigrams, clear the stomach meridian, pinch and knead the transverse lines of the palms, massage the abdomen, and knead the three miles of the feet.
Spleen and stomach qi deficiency type can be treated with Isokong San as prescribed by the doctor. Pediatric massage can be used to replenish the spleen and earth, transport the internal eight trigrams, knead the feet, rub the abdomen, and pinch the spine.
