Can Tonic Spleen and Intestine Pills and Ginseng and Atractylodes Pills be taken together?

It is not recommended to take Tonifying the Spleen and Benefiting the Intestines Pill and Ginseng and Atractylodes Macrocephalae Pill together, in order to avoid uncomfortable reactions caused by overdosing.
Tonifying the Spleen and Benefiting the Intestine Pill is composed of Astragalus, Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae (fried with rice), Radix et Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (fried with earth). It has the effects of tonifying the middle Jiao Qi (treating Qi deficiency by tonifying the spleen), strengthening the spleen and stomach, astringing the intestines and stopping diarrhea (relieving diarrhea by enhancing the astringency of the intestinal tract). It is used for treating diarrhea due to deficiency of spleen, which is characterized by diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distension and intestinal sounding. Contraindicated in pregnant women; not to be taken if the abdomen is hot, swollen and painful during diarrhea.
Ginseng, Atractylodes Macrocephalae Pill, composed of Ginseng, Atractylodes Macrocephalae (fried in bran), Poria, Chinese yam, and Sand nut. It has the effect of strengthening the spleen and benefiting qi. It is mainly used for the treatment of tiredness and fatigue, with little food and loose stools (thin and unformed feces). Do not take Ginseng Baijutsu Pill if you have diarrhea with loose stools and a feeling of falling in the anus.
