Do ground-glass lung nodules heal on their own?

It is possible for a pulmonary ground glass nodule to heal on its own. Pulmonary ground glass nodules are an imaging manifestation of inflammatory nodules that may be due to bacterial-viral infections that have the potential to heal on their own, or nodular shadows due to lung tumors that do not heal on their own. If the nodule is caused by inflammatory exudate in the alveolar cavity, patients with strong resistance can make the nodule disappear by their own resistance to make the inflammation subside and the inflammatory exudate in the alveolar cavity absorbed. Or it may not disappear. However, the grinding glass nodular shadow caused by lung tumor is due to organic lesions, which cannot be cured by itself and needs active treatment. Patients with pulmonary ground glass nodular shadow should go to the hospital in time, improve the examination, clarify the cause of the disease and then timely treatment to avoid further development of the disease.
